I thought this pitch was solid. In fact, it was. I had research, named sources, timely hooks, and even relevant quotes from the publication itself to prove I’d done my homework. I was down on my knees showing them I had read their publication. The editor’s response was, of course, a no, (this is Pitch Fail Club, remember), but look at the feedback they gave. How useful is that?
